Buhari, Ortom Meet Behind Closed Doors

President Muhammadu Buhari and the governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, just concluded a meeting inside the State House, in Abuja.

The meeting was held behind closed doors.
Reporters are currently waiting to get further details from the governor on the outcome of the meeting.

This is the first time the two leaders will meet since the recent killings recorded in Benue State.
Governor Ortom after the meeting with President Buhari told journalists that the attackers are camped in Tunga in Awe local government area of Nasarawa state.

He acknowledged steps taken by the Federal Government in tackling the crisis but said more needs to be done and also gave the account of how the attackers engaged the security personnel stationed in his state killing some and injuring others.

On the Federal government’s plans to set up colony of cattle rearers, Governor Ortom said he had yet to be briefed as to what that means. He said he can only support it when he understands what that means.

According to him, his mission to the villa is to brief President Buhari on the crisis like he has done in the past.
