Black Thursday in Benue State as 73 people killed by Fulani Herdsmen are buried



Thousands of Benue residents on Thursday came out to mourn as victims of Fulani herdsmen attacks of Jan. 1 and 2 in the state were laid to rest in a mass burial.

Gov. Samuel Ortom had declared three days of mourning for the victims of the attacks on communities in Logo and Guma Local Government Areas of the state.

Government offices, markets, commercial banks and schools were closed in the state capital in observance of the work-free day.

One of the victims included Suursha Kwaghve Baki, an 8-year-old son of Kwaghve Baki.
